Are you ready for another BIG event at Otaku ME? 'Cause we're more excited than ever!
But first, let's have a rundown of the past Otaku ME Gunpla Build off events from 2017.
Lots of gunpla builders from the UAE community showed up with their amazing entries, which were judged by Edy Ng (2012 Gundam Builders World Cup world champion) on our Gunpla Build OFF from March, and Joshua Darrah (winner of the Australian GBWC 2015 Cup). on our Gunpla Build OFF from November.
Here were some of the highlights regarding the event:
Both events demonstrated modeling workshops which went into detailing tips and tricks, an interesting and factful gunpla trivia, and a special discounted sale on some awesome Gunpla kits and various modeling tools at the venue, not to mention a one on one talk with the Judges on insights into techniques ;)
As the modeling community in the region has greatly grown over the months, we're back with our third upcoming competition titled as the "Otaku ME Modelers Cup 2018" where not only are we having an exhibition for Gundam kits, but will feature Scale Models as well!
Learning from the past, we’ve looked over certain key aspects of the overall exhibit and will be making changes to the categories to better refine them on a positive outlook for both you the modelers and us as the hosts!
The Gunpla Competition will feature in the regular categories you’ll be used to, The Clean Builds, Rising Stars and the Open Course, In addition to “Future Gunpla Masters”, a special category for the kids (Age 6-12) to let them have a hand at the awesome hobby ^_^
All Scale Models are also welcome to compete in the event, ranging from Tanks, Military armors, Planes, Ships, Cars, Sci-Fi Figures and more! An additional category will also introduced here for the RAF (Royal Air Force) 100th Year Anniversary where planes of the RAF will be specially featured
Stay tuned on our page to keep you posted at Otaku ME. We hope to see you there! ?
