Otaku ME Mini4wd Friday Fun Race

Ever since we’ve moved into our new store, we wanted to expand on the services we can provide to the community.

The larger space meant it was now possible to accommodate a Mini 4WD Race track and the time soon came for us to host our first ever in-store fun race event. Here’s what happened:

What took us by surprise was the fact that all the available slots on the online registrations for each race category quickly dissipated in no time at all!. Our audience was set!

A huge crowd turned up on Race Day (11th January 2019) of Beginners and Veteran Racers alike, but despite that, we managed to keep the whole race event exciting and fast-paced throughout the day with a tournament styled system to get the eager racers on blitzing down the lanes!

Our track was a fairly beginner friendly Speed Technical course; Speed Star, with long straights, high-raised winding curved banks with a few ramps at various points.

One crucial change was the addition of a Jump mid-track to introduce a bit of a challenge.

To sum up, our first ever in-store race was hugely successful! We are very thankful to everyone that registered and attended the event and we most definitely will be planning out more race events to come by more regularly by the weekends with a unique track layout each time to offer an exclusive trial on its own.
