HGUC 1/144 Cogg review
Posted on
Pros:
- A very simple to build kits that comes with few runners. a good start to get familiar with Gunpla building.
- The aesthetic appearance of the assembled kit and propositions are good. Seam lines are completely not noticeable in the upper body of the assembled kit.
- Articulation wise, the head can be slightly rotated to the left and right. the waist crunch is presented and a good amount of waist movement is presented. shoulder armours can only rotate to give the arms the needed space for movement. The arms consist of a number of segments connected to each other, and every claw in attached separately to a ball joint. the legs have approximately 45 degrees of movement to different directions.
Cons:
- Seam lines under the knees are very visible.
- The segments or parts that form the arms can leave very visible nub marks so they should be sanded or removed carefully.
- Knees bending is very limited.
Overall, the HGUC 1/144 Cogg is simple, but generally a good kit on the same level as the Z'gok, and despite being a more than 20 years old kit it can fit well along side other model kits that represent mass produced mobile suits.
