1/144 HGUC #080 Blue Destiny Unit 1

Pros:
- Despite being an old kit the HG Blue Destiny Unit 1 (has not aged very bad, It is an easy and simple build.

- The assembled kit looks decent, and very accurate regarding the colour separation and the various blue colour schemes. The head main body is in dark blue and the rest of the parts are in blue.

- In terms of articulation, the head is on a ball joint. the articulation is good as you can make a full 360 degrees rotation with no issues and the up and down movement is good as well. the arms rotation is very good as its a double jointed arm and provides 360 degrees rotation and bends for almost 90 degrees. the legs cannot go to the sides more than 45 degrees but they can go upward very nicely up to 90 degrees. and the feet's articulation and double jointed knee gives a lot of posing options. Generally, I am satisfied with the articulation it presents.

- Accessories are OK as you can expect a shield, a beam saber, a machine gun, and exchangeable hand along with a separated trigger fingers to hold the beam rifle.

Cons:
- The chest vulcan pieces comes in black while they be in a greyish color. And the unit number stickers may leave visible white edges so you might consider using a hobby knife on a mat board to cut out the numbers and then applying them to the Blue Destiny unit 1.

- Waist's articulation is limited as it can turn around 45 degrees left and right.

Overall the HGUC Blue Destiny unit 1 is a decent kit considering its age and looks good for displaying purposes. it does not have a lot to offer, but in the same time its not a bad kit. if you are a fan of the Gundam Blue Destiny Side Story videogame or the Blue Destiny manga you might consider adding this kit to your collection.
