Pros:
- The 1/144 HGUC Gouf is a model kit that is easy to build and simple like the most of the early HGUC model kits line and takes around 1.5 to assemble.
- Generally the stickers limited to 3 (mono eye , and 2 chest stickers) and they are easy to apply
- The kits have a good gimmick which a sword that be hidden inside the shield and it does hold pretty well.
- The number of accessories that comes with this kit is good. it comes with the shield, the heat sword, a whip, and a machine gun.
Cons:
- The points of articulation are limited and the waist has no articulation and you won`t be able to get a lot of action poses out of it which is expected from a very old gunpla.
- The heat sword feels loose in hand but it wont fall.
- Aesthetically the assembled model kit looks old and does not stand well with other newer gunpla.
Overall the 1/144 HGUC Gouf has not aged well and there are better alternatives such as the 1/100 MG Gouf ver.2.0 or the 1/144 HGUC Gouf revive ver. However, if you are into building old Gunpla models or a fan of the original series you might consider adding this to your collection for its historical value as one of the first model kits in the HGUC line. a 2.5 out of 5 for me because I am a fan of the design.
