1/100 Iron-Blooded Orphans #05 Gundam Barbatos 6th Form

This kit was the first I got my hands on in the IBO line. Super hyped because it was a new line dubbed Full Mechanics with MG sizes! Awesome. It turned out to be not so great.

Starting with the positives the kit itself comes with a LOT of accessories and customization, with rockets, gauntlet cannons, different shoulder pads, weapons and so on. The size itself makes the kit daunting and really sticks out in a collections and building the kit is really simple as most IBO kits turned out which is a huge boon for beginners.

Unfortunately that's just about where most positives end as the kit itself barely stands on its own. Although customizable the parts just seem to fall off very easily and overall it isn't sturdy at all. Granted the the mace and the pincer(?) weapons are huge, you would definitely need to set the kit up in a certain way to be able to hold the weight. A base is definitely needed in order to use the maximum posing capabilities if you intend to back mount one of the two huge weapons.

Overall I'd say that while a decent and fun kit to build, it's a headache to actually maneuver between weak joints and stability to get this MS to pose how you want it.
